Ben Clatworthy, a freelance broadcaster and journalist, was born in Bristol in October 1992 and is 18-years-old. Ben attends Clifton College, an independent boarding school in Bristol. In his spare time he is also a keen skier and races internationally for Britain’s oldest ski club, ‘Kandahar’.
In recent years Ben has appeared on the BBC News Channel and reported for BBC Points West on the disabled education provisions available for children in Bristol. A full list of Ben’s work is available on the résumé page.
Ben also enjoys writing and has written hundreds of articles for publications over the past years for a range of different magazines, websites and newspapers. These include First Eleven Magazine and InTheSnow Magazine among others. He is also the Racing and Sports Correspondent for PlanetSKI.eu which is a leading UK ski website.

Ben has been announced as the compère for Clifton’s Classic Car Wheeze, taking place on The Close on Sunday 20 May 2012 from 11am-4pm. Ben will be joined by Carol Vorderman and Paulina Gillespie, co-host of Heart FM’s Breakfast Show. Hundreds of vintage cars will be on display, and the afternoon will also be packed with other activities and displays – including a Spitfire flypast! The event is the first of many events celebrating the schools 150th Anniversary.

Ben will be co-hosting a charity Fashion and Music Show at Clifton College on Thursday 5 July 2012. The event, celebrating the the schools 150th Anniversary, will take place on The Close with a mixture of vintage and designer brands on show from both local and national retail shops. Clatworthy, who hosted the event in 2010, will be joined by William Hanson who hosted the event in 2008.
