Ben Clatworthy, journalist
Ben Clatworthy, a young broadcaster and journalist, was born in Bristol in October 1992 and is 16 years old. Ben attends one of the UK’s leading independent schools, Clifton College in Bristol. In his spare time he is also a keen skier and races for the Britain’s oldest ski club ‘Kandahar’.
In 2002 Ben Clatworthy wrote to Sir Trevor McDonald with reference to his hope of a career in journalism. Sir Trevor replied with a lovely letter and since then Ben has become a budding journalist.
In recent years Ben has appeared on BBC News 24 on a programme called YourNews and in May 2009 reported on BBC Points West, becoming their youngest ever reporter. Click here for a full resumé of Ben’s work.
Ben also enjoys writing and has written several articles for publications over the last few years including, the Ski Club of Great Britain website, the Clifton College website and many more. Ben is now the ‘Ski Racing Correspondent’ for a newly launched ski website, PlanetSKI.eu.
