This three year exclusive agreement will see InTheSnow magazine producing a bespoke version of the UK’s most read ski magazine for SnowJet customers to enjoy whilst on board. The first issue will launch in December 2011.

SnowJet’s philosophy of ‘fly closer ski longer’ is a reality, flying 25,000 British skiers into Sion and Chambery airports in the heart of the mountains, to reach some of Europe’s most popular ski destinations more quickly.

Snowjet fly from London Stansted to Sion and from London Gatwick and London Stansted to Chambery.

Ben Clatworthy will assume the same role as he currently does for InTheSnow, writing as the News Correspondent and Columnist for the in-flight magazine.

Vertical Drop Magazine launches in August 2011 and the team will publish one launch edition this summer. Six editions will be published in the summer of 2012 (April – September). 25,000 copies will be produced per month and distributed across 300 UK locations. Vertical Drop aims to fill a gap in the market for a soft adventure, summer action magazine.

On leaving the school Ben commented, “I’ve had the best 11 years of my life at Clifton and although it’s very sad to leave such a fantastic institution, but at the same time what could be more exciting than such a great turning point in my life.”

Ben was a weekly boarder at the School which has students from 32 countries worldwide and studied A-Levels in English Literature, Economics and Geography.

Ben is now taking a Gap Year in order to ski and travel as well as enhancing and expanding his writing and media career.

InTheSnow’s Correspondent & Columnist, Ben Clatworthy has been announced as the winner of Youth Journalism International’s 2011 Excellence in Journalism Awards in the Sports Features category.

Ben won the award thanks to a selection of articles published for InTheSnow Magazine during the 2010/11 season. The awards honoured students in 16 different counties around the globe. Ben was one of two winners in England. Youth Journalism International’s second annual worldwide journalism contest awarded student journalists for their work in everything from news to photography and cartoons.

Ben is regular face at InTheSnow and SkiNews.co.uk. Ben was recently announced as the Assistant Online Editor of the Website and will take up the position full time in July 2011. Ben said of the award, “It’s a fabulous award to win ann I’m well and truly over the moon. InTheSnow is a fantastic publication and I’m honoured to be a part of the team. I’m really looking forward to next season and starting work on the magazine again.”

SkiNews.co.uk is the new venture from InTheSnow Magazine, the UK’s free ski magazine. It’s due to launch this month and will run in parallel with the print publication.

The website will be edited by esteemed ski journalist Patrick Thorne, who also currently edits InTheSnow. Thorne was listed as “One of 20 People To Know in Ski” by The Times.

SkiNews.co.uk has appointed Ben Clatworthy as assistant online editor. Clatworthy, who’s been skiing since age four and currently ski races internationally, is the magazine’s news correspondent and columnist. His appointment at SkiNews.co.uk will be in addition to his work at InTheSnow which is published October-March.

SkiNews.co.uk aims to publish ski news 365 days a year bringing the latest news, articles and features to its readers.
