About Ben Clatworthy

Ben Clatworthy, a young broadcaster and journalist, was born in Bristol in October 1992 and is 17 years old. Ben attends Clifton College, which is an independent school in Bristol. In his spare time he is also a keen skier and races for the Britain’s oldest ski club ‘Kandahar’.   

 

Ben ClatworthyBen is currently in full time education studying for his AS and A-Level Exams. He is taking 4 A-Levels in English Literature, Geography, Politics and Economics. Ben is a weekly boarder at Clifton College in Bristol.

 

In 2002, aged 10, Ben wrote to Sir Trevor McDonald (who at the time was the full time presenter of the ITV News at 10) with reference to his hope of a career in journalism. Sir Trevor replied with a lovely letter and since then Ben has become a budding journalist.

 

In recent years Ben has appeared on BBC News 24 on a programme called ‘YourNews’ and in May 2009 Ben reported on BBC Points West on disabled education and the provisions available for disabled children in Bristol.

 

Ben also enjoys writing and has written numerous articles for publications over the last few years including, various websites and also several magazines including, First Eleven Magazine and InTheSnow Magazine. He currently also acts as the ‘Head Journalist’ for Shizazzle magazine which is a free quarterly magazine for teenagers.
